Yee-Haw! Chamber golf outing beats all!

Last week, 76 golfers on 19 teams gathered at Pebble Creek in Becker to play in the annual Becker Chmaber Golf Tournament.

This year’s theme was “Wild West” and so participants were encouraged to wear western attire for the nine hole tournament held on the Classic 9 Blue Course.

The first place team was the Giddy Up Girls — made up of Jen Fingarson, Layla Mathews, Stacey Vetsch and Sidney Dunderi.

The longest drive contest for the women went to Layla Mathews, who also was the winner of the closet to the pin for the ladies.

The longest drive for the “dudes” went to Blake Brown.

Closest to the pin for the men went to Kent Graning.

The last place team was the Patriot with the team consisting of Chris Meyer, Deven Haas, Carol Hanson and Bill Morgan. It was the second year in a row they achieved this feat.

A meal and silent auction followed the golf outing in the banquet room and prizes were handed out to those most fortunate.

A big shout out to all of the chamber’s sponsors especially their Platinum sponsors — Sherburne State Bank, Williams Dingmann Funeral Home, TJ Potter Trucking and EMR.
