The Becker boys golfers are ready to get their season started — anxious for the weather to break so they can hit the links outdoors. So far that has been a struggle with Mother Nature’s harsh weather; however, the team plans on practicing and getting ready for the season as soon as they can.
The sole captain this year is senior Tommy May due to the amount of experience he has playing golf.
The team has three goals this year. One, having at least four of the players end the season with all conference honors in the M8. Another goal is including the overall improvement of the team throughout the season. Lastly, coach Olson wants to “help the kids improve their skills and become better people.”
Looking ahead, the team wants to start working on their short game, which is where the bulk of their strokes are either made up or lost.
The team is made up of 27 kids with an addition of Brayden Graning (2024 graduate) who is coming back to help assist the team.
