“The girls were eager to get another win,” said Head Coach Kristina Sloan. “Especially against Monticello, a close rival and yet another team they hadn’t beaten in a few years.”

Sloan said Monticello had a very intimidating hitter and her girls were a bit nervous to play against her, but they never gave her the chance to really put the ball away.

Becker was down two games when the captains — Angell, Hanowski and Anderson — decided to turn up the heat. The Bulldogs rallied their way back, winning the next three games and taking the match.

“We showed real character out there and they never once gave up,” said Sloan.   “I hope they can keep this winning record going into our conference games this next week.”
