Volleyball Team Ends Regular Season With Win Over Thunder, 3 0

The Becker Bulldog girls volleyball team won their final regular season game of the year at home Tuesday night against Zimmerman.
 
Final scores were: 25-12, 25-18 and 26-24.
 
Becker celebrated senior night to recognize Sam Haugen, Megan Albertson, Sammy Gruber, Sydney Busch and Cheyenne Piccolo.   
 
“This group of girls have been great leaders throughout the year,” said Head Coach Taylor Essen.  “Their hard work, positive and sometimes sassy attitudes will be missed.”  
 
Tuesday, Sam Haugen led the team with eight kills, three blocks and two aces. Sam Angell had 11 kills, six digs and two aces, Megan Albertson had five kills and one block, Kalie Jergens had four kills and one ace, Alexa Hanowski had 17 digs and Sydney Busch and Whitney Raygor combined for 25 assists.
 
Becker improved to 14-12 and now awaits seeding Monday for the Section 8AAA playoffs that are set to begin Wednesday.
