Becker 3 Milaca 1
Thursday, the Becker Bulldogs girls volleyball suffered a heartbreaking loss to Milaca.
The score for each set was: 25-17 for the first, 25-19 for the second, 25-27 for the third and 25-18 for the final set.
Despite the defeat, the girls showed great team effort and a few times just barely missed the ball. Payton Anderson jumped up often to try to make a play over the net but was countered by the tireless Milaca effort throughout the match.
Sauk Rapids-Rice Tournament
On Saturday, the Becker girls played against BOLD and New Life Academy of Woodbury. They lost to BOLD but defeated the New Life Academy of Woodbury girls. Bethany Breiholz had three kills and 32 assists.
Makenzie Roettger had eight kills while Elli Wiertsema had an impressive 11 kills and 10 digs. Meanwhile, Sophie Heruth pulled in with three and Lauren Schumacher helped with one. Additionally, Hannah George had one service ace.
The team will be playing a home game against Zimmerman Tuesday at 7:15 p.m.
