RACHEL VOGL (L) AND CHEYENNE PICCOLO (R) took home the first place trophy in Wednesday’s 6-6-6- tournament in Milaca.

Vogl Finishes Ninth At Home Meet, Pairs With Piccolo To Win At Milaca

Rachel Vogl finished ninth with an 87 and the team fourth as the Becker girls golf team hosted a 10-team invitational at Pebble Creek Thursday afternoon.  
 
Cheyenne Piccolo finished just behind Vogl in 10th place with an 88. Macy Erson had a 92 and Erica Brovold shot a 101.  
 
“It was our lowest score of the season,” said Head Coach Steve Whittaker.  “Great week for the team.”
 
Kirsten Olson of Buffalo medaled with a 78 to finish six strokes over par. Anna Faerber shot an 82 and finished third for St. Cloud Cathedral.

Milaca 6-6-6 Meet
Cheyenne Piccolo and Rachel Vogl shot a 79 to capture first place for Becker at the Milaca 6-6-6 Invite Wednesday. The Bulldogs team placed first.
 
The tournament featured two-person teams that played six holes of best ball, six holes of alternate shot and six holes of scramble.
 
Becker results: Piccolo and Vogl 79, Macy Erson and Erica Bovold 87, Hannah Garcia and Ellie Goth 100.

Aitkin, Melrose and Mora had incomplete scores.
 
Next up, Becker heads to Blackberry Ridge Monday, then Milaca Thursday.
