Josh Lumley and Caleb Vekved went 3-0 in their matches last Saturday in Foley as Becker beat Pine City and North Branch, but lost to Pierz, who is ranked high in the state Class A rankings.

 

“ I felt that we wrestled well for our first showing,” said Head Coach Matt Aho. “We have a lot of young talent on the team and I felt that they showed good potential.”

The wrestlers took on the Zimmerman Thunder at home Thursday night against a team from their conference and their section and came away with a big win, 45-19.

 

“It was a good first home dual win for us tonight with Zimmerman,” said Aho. “This puts us at 1-0 so far in our conference.”
