Trap Shooters Ready For Qualifying Rounds

In their final tune-up of the regular season last Monday in Monticello, Becker’s trap shooting team finished first in the weekly competition and first in the conference.

Michael Sakry once again topped all shooters and finished with a 22.6 season average. Ethan Quill finished with a 21.2 average, good enough for seventh place in the conference.
 
Claire Voigt finished third among all women competitors with an 18 point season average.
 
The team travels to Alexandria June 7 to compete against four other area teams to qualify for the MSHSL State Tournament. Those qualified to compete in the qualifying rounds include the top 100 in the final regular season averages with individuals having to competed in all five weekly competitions.
 
The state tournament will be comprised of four rounds of 25 targets each.
