The Becker boys tennis team went 3-0 with wins over Minneapolis SW, Thief River Falls and STMA.

Tuesday, Becker hosted Mpls. Southwest and handed them a sweep.
“Mpls. SW beat us last year 6-1, so it is fun to see the growth this team has made,” said Head Coach Hokan Bengtson. “My guys are working hard and really pushing themselves to get better every day. That type of focus will pay off in this final month of our season.”

Last Friday at home, Becker beat the STMA Knights in a clean sweep.
According to Coach Bengtson, STMA is one of the favorites to win the Mississippi 8 Conference this year.
“We had a lot of quality matches against them, but the most impressive was the win at number one singles by Jacob Lukkarila,” said Bengtson.

Thief River Falls, a perennial favorite to win their section were swamped by the Bulldogs as Bengtson’s team improved to 14-3.
“I was especially impressed with Brandon Roemer at number two singles,” Bengtson said. “He has been playing excellent tennis and is a super leader for my group this year.”
