The Becker Bulldog swim/Dive teams traveled to Fargo last weekend for the first-ever Border Battle between some Minnesota and North Dakota high school teams.
“For many of the girls that went it was their first time experiencing a meet of this size,” said Head Coach Tina Tamm.
There were 15 teams in attendance and a lot of girls swimming. Tamm said her girls were most impressed with the size of the pool and that Michael Phelps had swam there before.
“We had some really good times come out of this meet,” Tamm said.
Sydney Offerdahl dropped five seconds off her 200M freestyle time; Arleigh Pudlick dropped five seconds off her 200M freestyle time; Morgan Schrader dropped two seconds off her 50M freestyle time; Nev Baune dropped six seconds off her 100M butterfly time; Avary Maunu dropped two seconds off her 100M freestyle time; Kaitlyn Uecker dropped three seconds off her 100M breaststroke time.
Many other girls dropped one second or less — still getting them closer to section cut times.
