Swimmers Close Out Regular Season With Win

The Becker Bulldog swim and dive team ended their regular season with a win against Holdingford at home Tuesday evening, 97-88.
 
Holdingford started off the night placing first in the first four events, but Becker came back strong in the second half of the meet, placing first in six of the last eight events.  
 
On the events Holdingford won, Becker’s swimmers finished second, third and fourth,  gaining important points needed to win the meet.
 
Becker’s first place wins  include: Emi Quill  in diving; Jade Erson in the 100 freestyle; Andrea Molus in the 500 freestyle; Jalissa Johnson, Melody Swanson, Emily Lipinski and Nicole Larrison in the 200 freestyle relay; Emma Lefebvre  in the 100 backstroke and Macy Erson, Lefebvre, Jade Erson and Molus  in the 400 freestyle relay.
 
The highlight of the night goes to senior Paige Roesler,  who qualified for sections for the first time in her swimming career in the 500 freestyle event.
 
“She has been working hard every year to reach this goal and it's great that she was able to achieve it on senior night in her home pool,” said Head Coach Tina Tamm.
