Swim Team Does Well In First Meet At Milaca

The Becker swim and dive team had six first place finishes and seven girls qualify for sections Thursday night on the road but lost the meet to Milaca by a score of 105 to 81.
 
“The girls swam well for the first meet of the season,” said Head Coach Tina Tamm.  “We have a good group of young swimmers that are going to keep improving and become very beneficial to the team.  Their potential is already showing.”
 
Macy Erson qualified for sections in the 200 free and 100 backstroke events as well as Emma Lefebvre in the 200 free and 100 back, Andrea Molus in the 200 IM and the 100 butterfly, Nicole Larrison in the 50 free and the 100 free, Emily Lipinski in the 500 free, Jade Erson in the 100 free and 100 breststroke and Maddie Thorn in the 100 back.
 
The first place finishers were Macy Erson in the 200 free, Molus in the 200 IM and 100 butterfly, Jade Erson in the 100 free and 100 breaststroke and Christina Jobe in the 500 free.
 
Becker traveled to Big Lake Saturday to take on the Hornets, then will host their first home meet in several years Sept. 16 against Princeton.
