The Pebble Creek Women’s Club (PCWC) officially ended the 2022 season at their recent fall banquet where final champions were announced, a Pebble Creek Cares donation was presented and a newly elected Board of Directors was seated.
“Being able to gather as a community of golfers and celebrate another great season was amazing,” said Jamie May, newly-confirmed Pebble Creek Women’s Club President. “The Pebble Creek Women’s Club is made up of a great group of women of all levels of golfing ability from beginner to more experienced. We build friendships, improve our golf games and work together to expand the game of golf to women and girls of all ages.”
Joining May on the 2022-2023 Board of Directors is past President Lori Keller, Vice President Amy Stanger, Treasurer Nicole Lane and Secretary Kirsten Voller along with four Directors: Melissa Schauer, Melanie Roisland, Nicole Schmidt and Jesse O’Neill.
Through the Pebble Creek Cares component of the PCWC, a monetary donation from year-long fundraising activities was presented to Amy Drehmel, co-founder and president of The Compassion Connection by Jamie May and Amy Stanger. The Compassion Connection (www. https://thecompassionconnectionmn.com) is a resource for foster and adoptive families and for families in need.
Winners of the final competitions of the PCWC season were announced including for the nine-hole year-end tournament and the match play competitions. The award for most significant improvement in performance was also presented.
The 2022 nine-hole year-end tournament first flight winners are Karla Johnson (first place), Anna Babler (second place) and Stacey Vetsch (third place). Second flight winners are Mary Jo Stanger (first place), Allee Blank (second place) and Kelly Rose (third place). Third flight winners are Shelly Kerzman (first place), Krisy Cox (second place) and Kayla Kalinowski (third place).
The 2022 women’s doubles match play champions are Amy Stanger and Stacey Vetsch and the runners-up are Robin Dingmann and Nicole Lane. The 2022 women’s singles match play champion is Brenda Ashmore and the runner-up is Kathy Hollenhorst.
The player honored with the most significant improvement in performance is Allison Meidt.
