Despite the fact the Bulldogs finished in the middle of the pack, Alex and Zach Stanz out-played nearly all of the 114 participants at the invite.

Zach, a freshman, was co-medalist, shooting an even par 72 (tied with Cam Longie of Hutchinson and A. Kuznik of Orono).

Senior Alex Stanz, Zach’s older brother, placed third shooting a 75.

“Both Zach and Alex struck the ball really well today,” said Head Coach Dan Olson.

Lucas Dertinger finished with an 86, Cole Benson and Gavin Murphy each shot 92s and Austin Seavert had a 93 for Becker.

The Bulldogs finished in a tie for ninth, shooting a 325.  Some of the front runners from Becker’s section were at the invite including Brainerd, who won with a 309, and Sartell, who took fourth with a 313.

“The team will have to improve its total score to be able to compete with teams like Brainerd and Sartell,” said Olson.
