The Pebble Creek Women’s Golf Club officially ended the 2014 season with the completion of the Double Match Play Championship last weekend.
The 18-Hole Club Championship, 9-Hole Year-end Tournament and Singles Match Play Championship were completed earlier this season.
“We had a wonderful golf season this year with many social events and competitive tournaments for our members,” said Leann Donovan, newly-elected Pebble Creek Women’s Club President. “The Pebble Creek Women’s Club is made up of a great group of women – who build friendships, improve their golf game and help our community each year.”
“Certainly the highlight of any season is the announcement of our champions and we congratulate all of our 2014 participants and winners,” said Donovan.
The overall 2014 Women’s Club Champion is Kathy Hollenhorst. The 2014 Singles Match Play Champion is also Hollenhorst and the Singles Match Play runner-up is Mary Workman. The Doubles Match Play Champions are Tammy Dickinson and Hollenhorst and the runners-up are Jackie Brant and Becky Graning.
The top net finishers in the 18-Hole Club Championship include Graning, Mary Mount and Robin Dingmann (first flight), plus Laurie Hanrahan and Brenda Ashmore (second flight).
The net winners in the 9-Hole Year End Tournament include Stephanie Hillesheim, Kim Konerza and Tammy Dickinson (first flight), Laurie Hanrahan, Roberta Jobe, Amy Stanger and Amy Goebel (second flight) and Marian Steffes, Melissa Schauer and LeAnn Reed (third flight).
The Most Improved Player award winner went to Denise Weiss and Donovan received an award for the hole-in-one she made during league this year.
