The Pebble Creek Women’s Club Birdies & Bogeys for Becker Backpack Buddies guest day event and fundraiser will be held Tuesday, July 22 at Pebble Creek Golf Club.
A full slate of activities are planned including a nine-hole golf tournament, awards dinner, silent auction and the return of the Pebble Creek Boutique consignment shop.
“I am so proud to be part of a women’s club that truly wants to make a difference in our Becker community,” said Carole Engelby, Guest Day Event Chairperson. “This year we are so pleased to partner with the South Santiago Lutheran Church for the Becker Backpack Buddies Program and we hope to raise up to $1,500 to help kids in our community who don’t have enough to eat.”
The golf event gets underway with a shotgun start at 5:15 p.m. for the nine-hole golf tournament, immediately followed by an awards dinner at Hunters Ridge Restaurant. A silent auction with an expected 50 items to bid on will be available, along with a quilt raffle and a special door prize raffle.
The Pebble Creek Boutique consignment shop, which was the brainchild of Lori Keller last year, will be open throughout the event, offering a wide selection of gently used women’s golf and other clothing, jewelry, hand bags, books, vintage items and other golf items or equipment.
“I love Becker, and wanted to do something to directly help those in need in our community,” said Lori Keller, Pebble Creek Boutique manager. “I knew all of us could find some gently-used items to donate, and we again have a great selection of merchandise to choose from.”
Keller continued, “I hope everyone comes to check out this year’s Boutique as proceeds will support the Becker Backpack Buddies program!”
The Pebble Creek Boutique is open to everyone and will be available from 4 to 9 p.m. at Hunters Ridge.
The Birdies & Bogeys for Becker Backpack Buddies event is just $48 per person which includes green fees, golf car and awards dinner. You can also participate in the awards dinner and activities only if you prefer, at a cost of $20 per person.
