Pebble Creek once again hosts state golf tournament

Pebble Creek once again hosted the Class A High School State Tournament this week in Becker.

Girls Golf

Athletes from Park Christian, Braham, Lac qui Parle Valley, Badger/GB-MR, Sleepy Eye United, Heritage Christian Academy, Minnesota Valley Lutheran, Bethlehem Academy, Russell-Tyler-Ruthton, SWMCH/EHS, Heron Lake, Ashby, Hillcrest Lutheran Academy, Mahnomen/Waubun, North Woods, Minneota, Ottertail Central, Barnum, Walker-Hackensack-Akeley, New Ulm Cathedral, Hinckley-Finlayson, Fillmore Central, Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton, BOLD, Adrian, Hayfield, Legacy Christian Academy, Red Lake, Blooming Prairie, Breckenridge, Pine River, Cedar Mountain, Benson, Dawson-Boyd, Fosston, West Marshall and Cass Lake teed up for the two-day event. 

Eight schools from Sections 1A-8A vied for the state title including Fillmore Central, Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton, Adrian, BOLD, Lac qui Parle Valley, Park Christian, Braham and Badger/GB-MR.

BOLD captured the team championship at the Class A State Girls Golf Tournament held at Pebble Creek Golf Club on June 11-12, 2019. (Last year, due to COVID-19, no state tournament was held). The Warriors edged out Park Christian (Moorhead) by one stroke for the title

Boys Golf

Athletes from North Woods, Sleepy Eye United, Fertile-Beltrami, Legacy Christian Academy, BOLD, Hillcrest Lutheran Academy, Southland, Cass Lake, Kittson County Central, Bethlehem Academy, Martin County West, Lac qui Parle Valley, Mille Lacs, Hayfield, Springfield, Underwood, New Life Academy, Community Christian, Kenyon-Wanamingo, Lanesboro, Benson, Adrian, West Central Area,  Murray County Central, Wabasso, Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda, Russell-Tyler-Ruthton, Pelican Rapids, Walker-Hackensack-Akeley, Pine River-Backus, Lakeview, Renville County West, Dawson-Boyd, Ada-Borup-West, Heritage Christian Academy, East Central, United South Central, Canby, New Ulm Cathedral and Fosston.

Community Christian (Willmar) won the Class A Team Championship at Pebble Creek GC in Becker, MN on June 11-12, 2019.  (Last year, due to COVID-19, no state tournament was held).The Eagles finished three strokes ahead of second place Springfield.
