The Pebble Creek Women’s Club (PCWC)officially ended the 2019 season at their recent fall banquet where year-long winners were announced and a newly elected board of directors was seated.
“We had a wonderful golf season with many social and competitive events for our members,” said Stacey Vetsch, newly-confirmed Pebble Creek Women’s Club President.
“The Pebble Creek Women’s Club is made up of a great group of women – who build friendships, improve their golf game and work together to expand the game of golf and support our local community through our Pebble Creek Cares program.”
Joining Vetsch on the 2019-2020 board of directors is past President Karin Pauly, Vice President Karla Johnson, Treasurer Nicole Lane and Secretary Kirsten Voller — along with four directors: Robin Dingmann, Peggy Sogard, Jamie May and Amy Stanger.
Winners of the final competitions held throughout the PCWC’s season were announced including for the nine-hole, year-end tournament and the match play competitions. The awards for most significant improvement in performance were also presented.
The 2019 nine-hole year-end tournament first flight winners are Amy Stanger (first place), Stacey Vetsch (second place) and Nicole Lane (third place). Second flight winners are LeAnn Reed (first place), Mary Jo Stanger (second place) and Bev Knutsen (third place). Third flight winners are Vonnie Novak and Lori Berends (first place - tie), Karin Pauly (second place) and Peggy Sogard (third place).
The 2018 women’s doubles match play champions are Kathy Hollenhorst and Kirsten Voller and the runners-up are Anna Babler and Stephanie Hillesheim. The 2019 women’s singles match play champion is Sara Schliesing and the runner-up is Tammy Miller-Hess.
The player honored with the most significant improvement in performance for 2019 is Kirsten Voller. Additionally, Vonnie Novak came in first place in the Ringer Board which tracks the most significant improvement hole by hole throughout the season.
