Pc  Men’s And Women’s Clubs Hold Open Houses

With significant snow on the ground and cold temperatures still lingering into April, the Pebble Creek men’s and women’s club members went ahead and held their annual open houses Saturday despite the depressing meteorological conditions.

Staff at Pebble Creek Golf Course served hors d'oeuvres,  cocktails and the club members displayed brochures, flyers and price sheets for visitors to learn about the numerous events and programs the female and male clubs have to offer.

Director of Golf Troy Malo  chatted with the dozens of guests and served from behind the bar at times. Members of the men’s and women’s clubs had tables set up to introduce their leagues, answer questions and get people to sign up.

Women’s Club
“We are looking forward to an exciting, fun-filled season, said Kirsten Voller, Pebble Creek women’s club president.

“The mission of the Pebble Creek women’s club is to promote the general interests of golf for women in our community and provide an atmosphere for both social and competitive play.”

“The women’s club is made up of a great group of women who build friendships, improve their golf game, and work together to support our local community - and we invite all women to join us this year here at Pebble Creek.”

The women’s club offers two levels of membership - at $70 for a base league membership and $126 for a league membership, which includes weekly social games related to play that week. Membership includes participating in all women’s club golfing, social and volunteering events, and also includes a GHIN handicap fee for each member.

Weekly green fees are paid individually by each member.

New this year for the women – the club is also offering a women’s club social membership – for women who would like to join the women’s club but are not golfers. The social membership fee is only $10 for the year and includes participation in all women’s club events including the spring banquet, fall banquet, weekly Tuesday evening social/golfing nights and monthly volunteering events being planned.

The Pebble Creek women’s club board of directors is made up of President Kirsten Voller, past President Denise Weiss, Vice President Karin Pauly, Treasurer Nicole Lane, Secretary Jen Fingarson and five directors: Peggy Sogard, Mary Mount, Lynette Brannan, Karla Johnson and Jennifer Miller.
