Two Becker youth wrestlers competed with PINnacle Wrestling School in the Virginia Challenge National Holiday Duals in Virginia Beach, VA, Dec. 7-9.
Sixth grader Kaden Nicolas and fourth grader Bennett Kujawa are also members of PINnacle Wrestling School, owned by '96 Olympic Silver Medalist Brandon Paulson, where they tried out to compete for this elite team.
They were a part of a team of 14 other wrestlers from Minnesota and Wisconsin.
Deemed one of the toughest elementary dual tournaments in the country, it draws in just over 60 teams from all over the country with 20 of those teams handpicking the best athletes to comprise an all star team.
PINnacle wrestled teams from states including Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Indiana and Oklahoma in their 10 matches, advancing to the silver bracket. Both kids wrestled tough, with Nicolas' 7-3 tournament record placing him one win away from All-American honors.
