Matthews Prevails In Shootout

Chad Matthews drained a birdie on the seventh hole of the Pebble Creek Men's Club Tournament of Champions Shootout last Saturday to beat Ryan Isaacson and win his second major of the year under tough cold conditions.

Matthews also won the club championship earlier this year.

The tournament of champions takes the winners from the entire seasons events and has them participate in the final major tournament of the year.  The three low gross and four low net scores and ties after 18 holes advance to the shootout.

Matthews was the low gross player with a 74 after 18 holes and Mark Dunderi was the low net player at one under par.

Final results:

1). Chad Matthews; 2). Ryan Isaacson; 3). Ray Sauer; 4). Gregg Mattson; 5). Mark Dunderi.

Others who made the shootout were Dan Brannan, Wayne Yarke, Andy Voller, Bernie Hancock and Dave Landreville.
