Tickets are now being sold in Big Lake for the annual Big Lake Lions Little Hole Ice Fishing Contest, Feb. 9 on Big Lake.
Advance price for tickets is $20; at the park that day, they will cost $25. Tickets are available at Big Lake Hardware Hank and Coborn’s.
The fishing contest will begin at 12 noon. A free kids fishing derby will be held before the main event, from 10 to 11:30 p.m.
Grand prize that day will be $2,500 cash. Prizes for various fish entries will also be awarded.
Proceeds from the event will go toward the BLHS scholarship program.
Major sponsors of the event are Lupulin Brewing, RC Rainville-Carson, Inc., Ausco, KleinBank, Big Lake American Legion and Runnings.
