Lakers Win One Of Four Over Last Few Weeks

The Clear Lake Lakers amateur baseball team played six games over the last few weeks. The Citizen was able to render stories from four of the six games.

No information was available for the June 20 game at Pearl Lake and the June 22 game against Foley.

Matt Korte earned a complete-game win in game two of the doubleheader to help Clear Lake earn a split.
 
Cameron Jurek got the win on the mound for Foley in game one.
 
St. Joe’s 6, Clear Lake 3
 
Joe Barrett had three hits and Greg Anderson, Aaron Rocheleau, RJ Alpers and Ethan Carlson added two each to lead the St. Joseph Joes to a 6-3 Lakewood League win over the Clear Lake Lakers in amateur baseball June 25 in St. Joseph.
 
Sam Iten had two hits for Clear Lake.
 
Sartell 12, CL 1
 
Sartell scored six runs in the first four innings and cruised to an easy win over Clear Lake by 11, June 28.
 
The Lakers managed just six hits and one run off Travis Weaver, who struck out two and walked three in earning his second win of the year.
 
Next up for the Lakers is a game against St. Joseph July 9, then a game against Litchfield July 11 before finishing the regular season against Sartell July 13.
