The Clear Lake Lakers fell to 3-11 with their fourth consecutive loss Sunday against Sartell, 6-0 at home.
Sartell’s David Deminsky pitched a gem, throwing a complete game while allowing just three hits, no walks and had 21 strikeouts.
Jake Sweeter led the Muskies on offense, going 2-for-3 with three RBIs.
June 6, the Lakers lost to Luxemburg, 13-2 and three days earlier they lost to the Sartell Stone Poneys by a 10-9 score. June 2 they lost another one-run game to Montrose-Waverly (9-8). Clear Lake’s only win since mid-May was against the Becker Bandits, 14-2 in Clear Lake.
Due to cruddy spring weather, the Lakers had several cancellations and postponements and finished the month 1-6 with losses to Big Lake twice (3-1, 10-0), the St. Joseph (14-3), the Muskies (10-0), Luxemburg (5-3) and Foley (15-14). Their sole win came against the Stone Poneys by a score of 11-6.
In April, they went 1-1 with a win in their first game — 14-2 over Staples — and a loss in game two to Champlin, 10-5.
Clear Lake’s roster includes Jordan Prill, Tom Freisen, Mike Smith (Big Lake), Isreal Carper (Clearwater), Tyler Maurer (St. Cloud), Cole Gueningsman (Annandale), Richard Thompson (St. Augusta), Matt Korte (St. Cloud), Ryan Skyzamski, Ryan Skyzamski (Sauk Rapids), Ben Anderson, Adam Smith, Cory Schmidt (Annandale), Mitch Voigt (St. Augusta), Jordan Golombiecki (Sauk Rapids), Mike Golombiecki (Sauk Rapids), Brandon Buesgens (Becker), Jake Samuelson (Clearwater), Hunter Mutterer (Annandale), Jacob Carper (Clear Lake) and Tyler Carper (Clear Lake).
