The Becker Lady Bulldogs basketball team defeated the Foley Falcons by a score of 85-29 Tuesday night in Becker.
The win moved Becker to 3-1 on the season, while Foley fell to 5-2.
Becker used sharp shooting (36-62 for 58%) and pressure defense (only committed eight turnovers committed to Foley’s 23) to secure the win.
Adeline Kent continued her excellent play on both ends of the court scoring 17 points to go with four assists, two rebounds and three steals. Julia Bengtson scored 15 points, secured 10 rebounds and had five steals for a solid game.
Freshman Maren Westin scored 14 points on 4-for-7 from the three-point line. Megan Gamble had a great game with 14 points, five steals, three rebounds, and three blocks.
“Megan has been doing a nice job running the floor from the post position,” said Head Coach Dan Baird. “This spaces everything out so nice for us, and makes the posts from the other team have to work.”
Becker is the top-ranked team in Class 3A.
