For the last 16 years, Breakdown Sports has given high school basketball fans across Minnesota the best teams and match-ups at their annual Tip Off Classics.
This year, they’ve brought together even more of the top programs that fans come to expect, with 21 great girls’ games spread across two days, Nov. 22-23, 2019 at Hopkins High School’s Lindbergh Center.
The Becker Bulldogs girls basketball team — who reached the state title game last year — will be competing in the weekend affair and will go up against #1- ranked Hopkins in the final game Saturday night at 8:30 p.m. It’s sure to be an instant classic — and two days no basketball fan will want to miss.
Breakdown Sports is featuring 42 programs over the two days, including 27 who are ranked among the organization’s preseason top-15 in their respective classes.
Three preseason No. 1 teams are in action (Hopkins in Class AAAA, Sauk Centre in Class AA and Minneota in Class A), and three defending state champions with Hopkins (Class AAAA), Minnehaha Academy (Class AA), and Minneota (Class A). Breakdown Sports feature 12 of the top 15 ranked teams in Class AAAA and nine of the top 15 ranked teams in Class AAA.
