Lady Bulldogs Improve To 10 2

The Becker Lady Bulldogs basketball team reached double digits in wins with a convoncing, 76-52 drubbing of Big Lake Tuesday on the road.

It was Becker’s sixth win in a row.

Last Saturday, they traveled to Willmar and came away with a win .

Becker 65, Willmar 56

Behind Adeline Kent’s 18 points, the Bulldogs knocked off the 9-4 Cardinals by 10.

Both teams managed to secure three players each who achieved double-digit scoring. Kent — along with her 18 points — was 9-of-19 from the floor with six rebounds, six assists, three steals and one blocked shot. 

Megan Gamble and Julia Bengston also had great games as Gamble finished with 17 points,  11 rebounds, four assists, five steals and one blocked shot. Bengtson had 16 points, four rebounds, one assist, four steals and was 4-for-4 at the free-throw line.

Willmar was led by the tandem of Mackenzie Jones and Jaida Reiman, who each tallied 15 points.

Becker scoring: Kent 18, Gamble 17, Bengtson 16, Courtney Nuest 6, Alayna Lindquist 4, Dani Nuest 4.

Willmar scoring: Jones 15, Reiman 15, Madi Linbo 10, Katelyn Murphy 7, Sam Christoffer 5, Sadie Raitz 2, Ella Shinn 1, Ashley Prahl 1.

Bulldogs 76, Hornets 52

Kent again was the leading scorer Tuesday as the Bulldogs easily dispatched of the Big Lake Hornets by 24.

Kent was 8-of-14 shooting with two three-pointers. She also had two rebounds, two assists and three steals.

C. Nuest and Bengtson each had 14 points in the win.

Big Lake was led by Mia Huberty who had 21, nearly accounting for half of the Hornet’s scoring. She also had seven rebounds, three assists, one steal and one blocked shot.

Big Lake scoring: Huberty 21, Taylor Moen 11, Reagan Sternquist 8, Emily Steen 4, Caela Tighe 4, Hailey Millam 2, Justena Cichy 2.
