Several Becker youth wrestlers competed at the final tournament of the Midwest Youth Wrestling Tour this last weekend in Monticello.
Second grader Bennett Kujawa was the champion of the first-second grade, 54-lb bracket. Fourth grader Lance Lysdal was the champion of his third-fourth grade heavyweight bracket.
Fourth graders Kaden Nicolas and Cash Stortz both took second places in their third-fourth grade, 66 and 72-lb brackets. Fourth grader Landen Kujawa took third in the third-fourth grade, 63-lb bracket.
Fifth grader Kaden Rish placed fourth in the fifth-sixth grade, 82-lb bracket. Fourth grader Isaac Daluge, fourth grader Owen Angell, sixth grader Tyson Ricker, sixth grade Ethan Duncombe and seventh grader Mason Doucette all wrestled in the tournament as well.
Approximately 1,100 wrestlers representing nearly 10 states competed in this two-day tournament.
