The JV Bulldogs Swim & Dive team ended their season Oct. 24 hosting the Mississippi 8 JV conference meet and coming home with numerous place winners.
“It was their final event of the season and our girls swam some very good races,” said Coach Tina Tamm. “Many of them made it to top 8 finishes.”
In the 200 medley relay the team of Eleanor Pancoast, Monica Zimmerman, Megan Lipinski and Avary Maunu took 5th place. Maunu also took 5th in the 50 free, and Zimmerman also took 3rd in the 100 breaststroke, with Joey Cox placing 5th.
Natalie Yuker placed 8th in the 200 free, dropping 2 seconds and placing 6th in the 500 free.
Grace Wynia took home 1st place in the 200 IM after dropping 4.5 seconds, with Lucy Pink finishing right behind her in 2nd place, dropping 6.5 seconds. Also on the podium was Monica Zimmerman in 6th place and Brianna Dahle in 7th.
Megan Lipinski received 5th place in the 100 butterfly, dropping 1.5 seconds off her time, and in the same event Breann Schrader took 6th. Kyla Henkemeyer dropped 2.5 seconds in the 100 free to land her in 2nd place.
The Bulldogs 200 free relay teams took home 3rd (Megan Lipinski, Kaitlyn Uecher,
Ava Holm and Kyla Henkemeyer) and 8th (Avary Maunu, Avery Berger, Paige Johnson and Grace Withrow). Johnson also took 6th place in the 100 backstroke.
In the 400 free relay, the team of Eleanor Pancoast, Christina Zheng, Avam Holm and Kyla Henkemeyer finished the night off in 7th place.
In diving the Bulldogs took home the top two places, with Bella Kuschel taking home 1st and Emma Hennessey taking 2nd.
“We came away with a lot of ribbons and smiles,” said Tamm. “These girls did a great job at the meet and came away with a lot of personal best times. It was a great way to end their season.”
