Becker Sophomore Jackson Fluck carded at 73 in the final 18 holes of the 45-hole Oakdale Invitational at Oakdale Golf Club to take first place in the Oakdale flight this past weekend.
Players from all over the state attended the invitational. Players played 27 holes Saturday in the championship flight and from there they were divided into flights. Jackson shot a 125 for 27 holes and was slotted into the Oakdale flight. The other flights were Championship, Presidential and Vice Presidentials.
Following the division into flights, Jackson led after the first day and eventually had to hold off the former Oakdale club champion (Jeff Linden) to win the flight by one stroke.
The invitational is an open adults tournament and is considered one of the premiere tournaments in Central Minnesota for the past 45 years. Jackson has been participating in this tournament the last three years and this was his first win there. Jackson also tied for first at a regional qualifier for the PGA junior tour at Pokegama earlier this summer. he shot a 78.

Vice President flight:
1). Jonah Cooper - New Ulm; 2). Dan Hicks - Litchfield; 3). Ethan Kraus - New Ulm.
Oakdale flight:
1). Jackson Fluck - Becker; 2). Jeff Linden Oakdale; 3). Mitch Krenik - Oakdale.
1st flight:
1). Pete Guggisberg - New Ulm; 2). Brian Eckstein - Oakdale; 3). Tony Sowder - New Ulm.
