The Big Lake/Princeton/Spectrum girls’ lacrosse team dropped a pair of conference games this week against Chisago Lakes and Becker.
Against Chisago, the team found themselves behind early. After trailing 10-0 at the end of the first quarter, the team was able to make some tactical adjustments and played the Wildcats much closer in the second quarter. The score at halftime was 13-1.
Fatigue was a factor in the third quarter as Chisago Lakes scored six more goals against a tired Husky defense. But, again, the team was able to recover and play an even fourth quarter making the final score 20-2.
Kaelyn Besler scored both the goals for the team, and Ava Wellberg added an assist.
On Tuesday the team lost 17-10 at home against Becker.
Next up for the team is a home game against Monticello on Friday (rescheduled from 4/17 due to weather), then a game at ROCORI next Tuesday.
