The Big Lake softball team traveled south for a tournament at Forest Lake High School. The team played three games, going 2-1 on the day. 

Vs. Elk River

In the first game, Big Lake defeated Elk River 7-2 behind a solid pitching performance and three RBI from Alyssa Windorski. 

Vs. Rochester Mayo

The second game was a 5-4 loss to Rochester Mayo. 

Vs. Concordia

The third and final game was a high-scoring affair with Big Lake defeating Concordia Academy 13-11. 

Vs. Becker

Last Thursday the team traveled to Becker and lost 4-2 in a Mississippi 8 Conference game. 

Vs. Chisago Lakes

On Tuesday the Hornets lost 5-0 on the road at Chisago Lakes. The Wildcats are ranked #7 in the state for Class 3A. 

Three more Mississippi 8 Conference matchups await the team this week. They will host Cambridge-Isanti on Thursday and Monticello Friday. Then next Tuesday they will travel to Zimmerman.
