The Big Lake girls’ basketball team lost three games last week, including a pair of Mississippi 8 matchups. The losses came against Mound Westonka, North Branch, and Princeton. 

Last Thursday the team travelled to Mound Westonka where they were defeated by the WhiteHawks 51-36. Ashley Fitzgibbons was the leading scorer with 17 points, followed by Shiloh Elliott with 13. Alexa Parks added four and Mya Knapp scored two. 

Last Friday the team fell 60-50 against North Branch. And on Monday they lost 61-56 to Princeton. 

This week’s only game is a road game at Zimmerman, where the team will try to pick up their first win of the season.
