The Big Lake wrestling team swept a quad meet at Glencoe-Silver Lake last Thursday.

The Hornets’ toughest matchup came against Glenco-Silver Lake, with Big Lake coming out on top, 42-29.

Kale Westgaard opened with a pin of Dreyden Voigt at 3:55 at 107 pounds.

At 114, Grant Volk lost by pin to Wyatt Guennigsmann at 1:41.

Landon Bagne of Big Lake pinned Jaden Rok at 0:36 at 121 pounds before teammate Alex Omann pinned Cole Plath at 0:49 at 127 pounds.

At 133, Cash Stortz won a close 3-1 decision over Brody Ruschmeier.

Elijah Schalle of the Hornets lost by tech fall to Brayden Linsmeier at 139 pounds.

At 145, Cooper Cusick beat Miguel Arandia, 5-2.

Zachary Dehmer lost by pin to Mason Schilling at 2:36 at 152 pounds.

At 160, Jack Christensen was pinned by Dylan Bargmann at 4:06.

Gauge Hoffman pinned Connor Meyer at 1:54 at 172 pounds.

At 215, Jose Acuna was pinned by Xander Plath at 0:45.

The Hornets won by forfeit at 189 and 285 pounds.
