Last week the Big Lake girl’s swim and dive team traveled to Becker for the Section 5A tournament. The team finished in seventh place, and Torri Ramert earned a spot in the state tournament for the one-meter dive. 

Ramert finished with the top scores in both the preliminary and semifinal rounds but came second in the finals. Emily Edlund finished seventh in both the 50 and 100 freestyle events. 

Ramert will now compete in the state tournament starting this past Thursday, November 14 at the Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center on the University of Minnesota campus.
