The Big Lake boys’ golf team wrapped up their season last Wednesday and Thursday at Grand National Golf Course in Hinckley.
The team competed in the Section 7-AAA tournament along with 11 other schools. The Hornets were not one of the top four teams after two days of competition, so they did not advance to the state tournament.
On the individual level, Trevor Stukenholtz was the team’s top performer as he has been most of this season. He shot a 76 on Wednesday, aided by two birdies on the back nine. Josiah Sanford shot an 84, Branson Gray-91, Henry Overby-94, Caelin McConville-98, and Tucker Thomas-109. Stukenholtz was the only Hornet golfer to advance to the second day of play on Thursday where he shot a 79.
