The Big Lake girls’ basketball team picked up two non-conference victories last week when they defeated Spectrum and Duluth Denfeld. 

Vs. Spectrum

The Hornets hosted Spectrum last Thursday and held the Sting to just 32 points in a 60-32 victory. Spectrum came into that matchup with a record of 18-5 before falling to Big Lake. 

Vs. Duluth

On Saturday, the team hit the road and traveled north to Duluth and came home with a 56-53 win over the Hunters. 

Vs. Becker

On Tuesday night the team lost 75-43 to conference rival Becker. 

Up Next

Next up for the team is a trip to Chisago Lakes on Friday for their final regular season game. Then next Tuesday is the first round of the section playoffs. Seeding and matchups will be determined on Sat. Feb. 22.
