On Saturday, the Big Lake dance team traveled south to Ramsey for a competition at PACT Charter School. 

Other schools in the AA competition were St. Francis, Southwest Christian, Academy of Holy Angels, North Branch, Rockford, and Coon Rapids. 

The Hornet team took second in both the jazz and kick categories, finishing behind St. Francis in both. The JV kick team achieved their highest mark in program history. They surpassed the old score by 22 points. With that record breaking performance, now four out of five routines have set new program records on the season. 

The next competition for the team will be the Foley Invite on Fri., Jan. 10.
