The Big Lake boys’ tennis team has played a JV-only schedule so far this season, but that hasn’t stopped them from improving. The team consists of nine eighth graders and four players in high school. They earned their first team win in mid-April when they defeated Zimmerman.
“Individually, the players are continuing to grow and have been involved in many close points and matches,” said Head Coach Julie Browen. “Eighth grader Colton Stelzer, who plays second singles, is having a great season with nine match wins so far. We have one more week of matches—come cheer on the Hornets!”
