The Big Lake boys’ basketball team went on the road last Thursday and defeated St. Francis 73-70. The win was their second against the Saints this year, completing the season sweep.
Vs. Magic
On Tuesday the Hornets returned home to take on conference-leading Monticello. The Magic, who are ranked 10th in the state for Class AAA, defeated the Hornets 96-63. Judd Layton was the leading scorer for Big Lake. He finished with 16 points. Others in double figures were Leroy Hamrin with 14, Lane Pettis with 11, and Max Siegrist with 10. Trevor Stukenholtz added six and Precieux Sanguma, Kamaludin Bille, and Owen Wilczek all had two.
