SENIOR GYMNAST HANNAH SCHMIDT sprained her ankle during warmups Tuesday and is out of competition until further notice. Coach Jen Harmoning hopes to have Schmidt back in the lineup by the time sections begin Feb. 13.
JUNIOR HALEY HUBBARD took first place on floor Tuesday against Paynesville/Eden Valley-Watkins and second place last Friday against Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted.

Tuesday, the girls hosted Paynesville/Eden Valley-Watkins and continued to have another strong night of gymnastics on Senior Night.

One of the team’s seniors, Haley Olsen, set personal records on three of her events. However,  the team’s other senior, Hannah Schmidt, sprained her ankle during the warm-ups and did not get to compete.

“The injury is another big set-back for us,” said Head Coach Jen Harmoning. “But we are hopeful that she will be able to return to the line-up before our section championships meet.”

The team will have to compete without Schmidt at the True Team State Championships (top 10 class A schools in MN)  today (Saturday).

The good news is that Aubree Lahr, Lindsay Olsen and Kylee Pudas are getting closer and closer to getting the squad back to full strength.
