THE BECKER GIRLS TRACK TEAM took first place at two meets this week and were led by a few of their strongest runners in Lexi Dehmer (R), Julia Bengtson (M) and Alli Hendrickson (R).

Girls Track Team Takes First At Albany And Mora Meets

The Becker Bulldog girls track team competed at Albany last Friday and at Mora Tuesday and took home first place at each event.

The Bulldog girls track team captured first place at Albany last Friday.
 
Team results: 1). Becker 101; 2). Little Falls 70; 3). Albany 67; 4). St. Cloud Cathedral 30; 5). St. Cloud Christian 3.
 
Lexi Dehmer placed first in two events.   Her time in the 1600M was 5:26.09 and her time in the 800M was 2:28.17.   
 
In the 1600M, Alli Hendrickson placed second (5:33.18) while Adeline Kent took fourth (6:13.02) and Jackie Yoerg fifth (6:14.52).
 
Victoria Kolbinger won the 3200M with a time of 11:49.11. Her time placed her on the MSHSL honor roll.  Hendrickson was second is this race with a nice time of 12:07.30.  Also scoring in the 3200M was eighth grader Courtney Nuest. 
 
In the 100 meters, Sydney Stommes took first place (13.76), Jayna Adu-Gyanfi took second (13.86), and Keeley Holm took fourth (14.03).
 
Cassidy Pleoger was fourth in the 200M (28.69), followed by Holm in fifth (28.76) and Adu-Gyanfi in sixth (28.96).
 
Payton Anderson took second in the 400M (65.14), Amelia Kirchner fourth (67.87) and Makenna Noaeill fifth (68.24).
 
In the hurdle races, Miranda O’Brien took fourth (18.39) in the 100 meter hurdles and sixth (54.2) in the 300 meter hurdles.  Aubree Lahr was fifth in the 100M hurdles (18.41) and third in the 300M hurdles (51.95). 
 
In the relays, Becker placed second in the 4x100M (54.90), run by Haley Hubbard, Adu-Gyanfi, Nikki O'Brien and Kassidy Severson. The Bulldogs were also second in the 4x400M (4:32.53) with Anderson, Noaiell, Miranda O'Brien and Kayden Westin running the race.  Becker’s 4x800M placed third (11:02.07) with Lindquist, Nuest, Pleoger and Callie Doucette running.
 
The 4x200M relay continued with their bad luck with hand-offs and were disqualified.
 
Becker earned points in each of the field events.  High jump was won by Hubbard at 4'8". Fourth place went to Hendrickson at 4'8” and Jayna Adu-Gyanfi was fifth at 4 '4.
 
Aubree Lahr took home first place in the pole vault with a fine mark of 9'0”, placing her on the MSHSL honor roll.
 
In the long jump, Miranda O'Brien was fifth (13'9").
 
Triple jump had Lahr winning her second event of the meet with a jump of 31' 10-3/4". Hubbard was second (31'3 1/4").
 
Madi Kerzman placed second in both the shot put ( 33'6) and the discus (92'1).
 
Girls Track @ Mora
The Bulldogs prevailed with another first place finish amongst four schools.
 
Team results: 1). Becker 107; 2). Mora 90; 3). St. Cloud Cathedral 47; 4). Zimmerman 26.
 
Becker started off the meet with a win in the 4x800M relay (10:16.50), run by Kolbinger,  Lindquist, Hendrickson, and Dehmer.  The other relays had Becker in first for the 4x100M relay (55.04) with Hubbard, Adu-Gyanfi, Severson and Nikki O'Brien running the event.
 
Becker took second in the 4x200M (1:54.83) with Pleoger, Kayden Westin, Anderson and Noaeill completing the race.   The 4x400M squad finished third (4:42.72), run by Anderson, Amelia Kirchner, Lindquist and Julia Bengtson.
 
Kerzman led the Bulldogs in the field events by getting two, first place finishes. In the shot put, she had a throw of 33'0 and in the discus, a throw of 87'4 1/2. Becker also got points in the shot put from McKenna Edling, who hit  a mark of 28'5 for fourth place.
 
Lahr was first in the triple jump (31'4) and Hubbard was fifth (29'9). 
 
Becker’s best long jump was sixth place by Cienna Pleoger (13'6 1/2).
 
 Anderson scored a personal best of 4'8" to win the high jump. Hendrickson took third at 4'6".
 
Pole vault was a bit more of a challenge because of the weather, and Severson was Becker’s top vaulter in a tie for third with a vault of 6'. Keeley Holm tied for fourth at 6' and Hubbard was fifth.
 
In the running events, Miranda O'Brien took third (17.39) and Lahr fourth (17.99) in the 100M hurdles. The 300M hurdles saw O’Brien take second place (53.25) and Cienna Pleoger third (54.64).
 
Cassidy Pleoger took second in the 100 meters with a personal record time (13.23) and Adu-Gyanfi also got a PR for third (13.66). Holm took fourth (14.13).
 
Holm took third in the 200M (27.24), Adu-Gyanfi fourth (28.28) and Lahr fifth (28.37) while Cassidy Pleoger took sixth (28.89). 
 
The 400 meter race had Anderson in second (66.96), Noaeill third (67.53) and Amelia Kirchner in fourth (67.94).
 
Bengtson came in second in the 80M in her first race at that distance this year (2:35.75). Madison Pleoger was fifth (2:45.27).
 
In the 1600M, Kolbinger placed first (5:43.52) and Kent fifth (6:05.71).
 
Dehmer and Hendrickson worked together in the 3200M, battling the wind and rain.  Dehmer came in just ahead of Hendrickson at 11:56.02 for first place. Alli finished in 12:03.08 for second.
