Last Saturday, the Becker Bulldogs girls soccer team fell behind early in Detroit Lakes, getting scored on in the first two minutes of the game. Then, another goal slipped past the team just eight minutes later to put them down by two.
The Bulldogs settled down and started playing better ball the rest of the game as Rachel Vogl netted a second half goal to pull within one. But Detroit Lakes held on for the 2-1 win.
The Bulldogs had the momentum and many chances followed including a couple golden opportunities in the game’s last 10 minutes. The best chance came with 30 seconds left, when Vogl’s shot hit the cross bar.
