Big Lake-Princeton girls’ lacrosse lost their opening game of the season last Friday to Duluth by a score of 15-2.
The Huskies got behind early and were unable to generate much offense in the first half. But a halftime strategy shift allowed the team to win more ground balls and develop more offense in the second half. Ava Wellberg scored both of the goals for the team, each coming in the fourth quarter.
There are plenty of opportunities to bounce back coming up this week. The team will host three games starting on Thursday against Monticello, then Chisago Lakes next Monday, and finally Becker on Tuesday.
