TANNER NIEDENFUHR is in his first season with track coming from a change of baseball. Tanner finished second in the 110 high hurdles.

Girls Finish First, Boys Second At Home Track Meet

Becker girls and boys track meet Tuesday was held in Becker against three other area teams. Girls finished first and boys finished second against teams from Mora, St. Cloud Cathedral and Zimmerman.
 
Girl’s Track and Field
The ladies dominated with a final score of 104, and St. Cloud Cathedral coming in second with a 36 point difference. Becker scored in every event except for one.
 
Becker ladies had six first places: Four by junior Hannah Schmidt, including the 100-13.3, 200-27.71 (PR and facility record), high jump 5’ and pole vault 9’6.
 
Other first place finishes were Morgan Youngdahl in the long jump with a PR and the 4 x 800 relay team of Alli Garding, Lexi Dehmer, Alli Hendrickson and Jada Rositas with a season best time.
 
Aubree Lahr finished second and Miranda O’Brien finished third in the 1600. Aubree and Miranda finished second and third in the 300 hurdles. Alli Hendrickson and Lexi Dehmer ran good races in the 3200 meters for second and third. Aubree finished second in pole vault at 8’.
 
The Bulldogs’ ladies had an amazing meet and have a lot to look forward to in their upcoming meets. Finishing point totals for the meet: Becker 104, St. Cloud Cathedral 68, Zimmerman 59 and Mora 38.
 
Boy’s Track and Field
Boys track team finished second to Mora. Mora won with 94 points and Becker second with 91. Boys took four first place finishes. For the 4 x 200 relay team members Sydney Boros, Matthew Davalos, and Kevin Andres won with a close race and time of 1:37.9.
 
Kevin Andres also took first in the 200 with a time of 23.6, followed by Matthew Davalos with a second place time of 24.4. Sydney Boros, Tanner Neidenfeuhr, Kevin Andres and Andrew Davalos took first place in the 4 x 400 with a time of 3:49.4. In pole vault, Blake Angell took first at 11ft a personal best. 
 
The other amazing finishes go to team of Jonathan Novak, Olsen Pancoast, Brett Parson and Luke Pappenfus taking second in the 4 x 800 with a time of 9:57. Novak also took second in the 800 meters with a time of 2:25.6. Davalos placed second in the 400 with Boros taking third. Neidenfeuhr finished second in the 110 high hurdles and 300 intermediate hurdles.
 
Final scores are as follows: Mora 94, Becker 91, Zimmerman 50.5 and St. Cloud Cathedral with 31.“It was a good meet for Becker as we have lots of depth and are picking up points in the 3-5 place positions that we may not have received in past years,” says Coach Schmidt.
 
Top shot and discus athlete Dillon Radunz is currently out do to a sprained ankle. Radunz should be back by next week, with the next track meet scheduled Saturday in St. Francis.
