Thursday's cross country meet was the Lucky Lindy Invitational held in Little Falls.
Girls Varsity
The Becker girls team placed fifth out of 18 teams. The Bulldogs had five out of the seven varsity girls earn personal records for the day, along with nine of the JV girls also earning PRs.
Alli Hendrickson placed seventh overall with a time of 19:31.90 to earn a medal amongst very good competition. The next two Becker runners were once again Lexi Dehmer in 16th and Julia Bengston in 17th, as they passed several runners over the last portion of the race. Their times were 20:18.20 and 20:21.00 — both personal records.
Sydney Stommes, in her first varsity race and second cross country race ever, really stepped up, placing 58th with a personal record time of 21:52.40. Also getting personal records were Victoria Kolbinger in 65th with 22:11.4 and Alli Garding in 67th with a 22:20.10.
Tate Spinner rounded out Becker’s varsity in 86th, running a time of 23:16.1 despite an injury.
“The girls are improving every meet and are very exciting to watch,” said Head Coach Trish Reimer-Kealy.

Girls JV
The Becker JV girls placed third overall in the field of 18 schools. Jada Rositas was 14th (23:08.8 - PR), Callie Doucette 25th (23:49.0 - PR), Siera Knick 26th (23:49.6), Allyna Storms 27th (23:49.8), Gabrielle Imm 28th 23:50.3 - PR), Cayla Pauman 25:06.7 - PR), Shannon Sydow 52nd (25:28.9 - PR), Caylah Chonsky (25:48.0 - PR), Renee Tripp (26:23.8), Haley Benda (26:234.2), Elli Schwartz (26:24.6), Kayden Westin (27:13.7), Alyssa Thielen (28:10.2 - PR), Jessica Sand (28:19.8), Laura Pancoast (29:32.2) and Karly Kowalsky (29:32.4).
Boys Varsity
The Becker boys varsity team placed 15th out of 21 teams.
Caleb Foster was again Becker’s #1 runner, placing 36th in a season best time of 17:51.0.
Jonathan Novak came next for Becker in 72nd place, also running a season best time (18:33.3) followed by Keith Sorensen in 94th (19:02.5).
Basil Ricker continues to improve in his first CC season, getting a PR time of 19:04.5 for 96th. He moved up from the team’s seventh runner to their fourth with his effort Thursday. Next was Olsen Pancoast (19:08.8), Luke Pappenfus also PR’d with a time of 19:11.3 and Sam Somrock ran 19:50.9.
“This is the earliest in the season that we have gotten all seven guys under 20:00,” said Reimer-Kealy. “There has been better consistency for the boys so far this year and they are running more as a team.”

Boys JV
The JV boys were led by Lachlan Lahr with a time of 21:24.9, followed by Brett Parson (22:59.4), Brendan Potter (23:42.1) Erik Parson (24:09.2) and Logan Lahr (25:46.3).
Junior High
Becker’s top junior high runners were Bennett Edling, David Myers and Aaron Gregory for the boys. Madison McDonald, Abby Nelson, and Olivia Mateyka for the girls.
Becker’s next meet is the Roy Griak invitational at the UofM Les Balsted Golf Course Saturday for the varsity runners.
