Girls Cross Country Takes Third At Sections

Becker girls cross country ran their meet and placed third, just missing out on a trip to the state meet as a team by nine points.

At the Section 8AA  cross country meet Alli Hendrickson qualified for the state cross country meet, placing fifth over all in the girls race.

The weather was not cooperative at all and was very cold and sleet/snow along with extreme windy conditions.

The conditions made racing difficult for all runners so times were not the usual.

Moorhead was first with 82, Alexandria second with 87, Becker third with 96 and Monticello fourth with 111 out of the 15 section teams.

Alli Hendrickson came in fifth place at  20:16.4.  She was followed Victoria Kolbinger in 19th (21:01.6) and Lexi Dehmer in 20th (21:03.0).

Addy Kent can into 24th position at a time of (21:07.4) and Dani Nuest can into 28th at (21:21.9).

Abby Nelson finished in 49th at a time of (22:25.4) and Megan Gregory arrived in 57th at (22:47.7) wrapping up the rest of Becker Girls Cross Country team.

Coach Kealy states, "Our girls ran well and left it all on the course but it was not meant to be on this day.   We are so very proud of each of these girls and the fantastic season  they have had this year.  The class and sportsmanship they have shown all year is truly wonderful."

"Alli will run next Saturday at St. Olaf and we hope to have everyone's support for her final HS race!" exclaims Coach Kealy.
