The U9 girls TCU soccer team had a fantastic 2018 season.
The team finished their season in first place in league play and concluded their season competing in the USA CUP tournament in Blaine last weekend. This year’s tournament featured a turnout of 1,150 teams from 20 states and 20 countries, making it the largest youth soccer tournament in the Western Hemisphere.
The event generated an estimated $36 million in economic impact.
Minnesota teams won 28 titles, eight more than last year including the Blaine SC EDT 1 beating Chicago City SC from Illinois, 4-0 in the 9U girls section.
TCU is Tri-County United Soccer Club that serves players from Becker, Big Lake, and Zimmerman. Registration is currently open for the competitive fall season.
The TCU team is coached by Arnold Changamire, Mike Elvester and Gretchen Changamire. The team consists of Julianna Stach, Adele Changamire, Addilynn Hallstrom, Gracie Mork, Layla Fowler, Kali Lombard, Evelyn Seifert, Emma Jeurissen, Arica Stach, Andie Changamire, Brenna Menke, Emilie Elvester and Kali Schendzielos.
