Becker’s Hannah Garcia advanced to the second round of the Section 8AAA  playoffs Tuesday, but failed to make it to the state tournament. She finished 32nd overall after shooting a first day round of 93 and a second round total of 88 at Rich Springs GC in Cold Spring.

 

The Bulldogs as a team did not advance to state either since they did not field a full squad heading into the event.

 

Buffalo (665), Alexandria (666), Bemidji (668), Brainerd (694), Sartell-St. Stephens (695) and Willmar (749) all advanced to state as teams.

 

Buffalo’s Sofia Morin shot a two-day total of 147 and took first place, thus advancing to state. Also making state were Abbie Kelm of Bemidji (151), Hannah Morin of Buffalo (154), Molly Fossen of Sartell-St. Stephens (155), Hannah Boraas of Alexandria (160), Taylor Offerdahl of Bemidji (161) and Ciara O’Connor of Alexandria (162).

 

Becker’s Gretchen Graftaas (109) and Emma Benson (130) failed to make it out of the first round.
