BECKER JUNIOR KATIE PURSLEY had 10 goals in four games this past week as the Lady Bulldogs closed out their regular season with a record of 6-5.

Fobbe Scores Game Winner In Final Regular Season Game

The Becker girls lacrosse team played four games this past week, winning two and losing two.

Becker 10, STMA 9
 
In Becker’s final regular season game of the year, The Bulldogs came back in dramatic fashion and stole a win against ST. Michael-Albertville Thursday night.
 
As the clock was winding down and Becker looking at a 9-8 deficit, Katie Pursley netted a goal with one second left on the clock to tie the contest. Senior Courtney Fobbe proceeded to net the game-winning goal moments later.
 
The win pushed the team’s season record to 6-5.
 
Besides Pursley’s game-tying goal, she had four goals on the day while Mckenzie Opgenorth had three goals and one assist. Sydney benda had a goal and Brandy Watercott had a goal and one assist.
 
Goalkeeper Kelsi Halvorson had 10 saves.
 
Becker 13, SC 11 (OT)
 
Becker eked out another close, overtime thriller Tuesday over St. Cloud Area  by a score of 13-11.
 
Four Bulldog players scored two goals apiece including Mackenzie Opgenorth, Brittany Beutz, Brandy Watercott and Katie Pursely.
 
Becker Scoring: Opgenorth - two goals, no assists; Beutz - two goals one assist; Watercott - two goals no assists; Pursley - two goals, no assists. Courtney Fobbe - one goal no assists; Megan Murphy - one goal, no assists; Sydney benda - one goal, no assists; Allie Zimmer - one goal, no assists; Bailey Gilchrist - one goal, no assists; Olivia Hultgren - no goals, one assist.
 
Wayzata 19, Becker 17
 
Becker hosted Wayzata Monday afternoon and lost by two in a high scoring battle.
 
Watercott and  Opgenorth each had four goals apiece for Becker as the Bulldogs dropped a close one to the Trojans.
 
Goalie Kelsi Halvorson had four saves.
 
Becker also got goals from Megan Murphy and Katie Pursely who each had three goals.
 
Becker Scoring: Watercott - four goals, no assists, nine SOG; Opgenorth - four goals, one assist, seven SOG; Murphy - three goals, no assists, four SOG; Pursley - three goals, no assists, five SOG; Sydney Benda - two goals, one assist, five SOG; Courtney Fobbe - one goal, no assists, one SOG.
 
Pursely had four draw controls and 12 draws.
 
Delano 12, Becker 9
 
Becker traveled to Delano last Saturday and lost a very close game to the Tigers by three.
 
Watercott led the Lady Bulldogs with four goals and one assist. 
 
Halvorson had four saves.

Next up for the girls is  first round play in sections Wednesday with opponent and location yet to be determined.
